He said to ITV Sport:

“I love playing big games when you are in the situation where everything is on the line and someone has to step up. The last time out has probably been the worst. Then it becomes mental, not just football. Did I fear for my career?

Hell, no! I’ve got too many beautiful people around me, my family and a lady to let it all get to me. I was almost like a lion against Wales, or a gazelle. I love lions, I don’t know why. But sometimes they are calm and sometimes they attack. It’s about enjoying it, letting your feet do the talking.

He has himself admitted having a girlfriend. Therefore there is no chance that he is gay. Any rumors about Sturridge being gay is a totally false assumption and baseless rumors as having a hot girlfriend in the past, and dating one currently, Daniel can't be labeled as gay.

Liverpool absences nothing to do with religion!

Daniel Sturridge, Liverpool, and England striker have delivered a passionate statement to anyone questioning his commitment to Liverpool, insisting he is feeling content at the club and is hurt by accusations he lacks the appetite to play and is always “devastated” when sidelined through injury which sadly has been throughout his career.  “It’s all surprising to be honest. I didn’t know religion had anything to do with football. As a child you don’t think of those things.

Sturridge has injured his hip, foot, thigh and knee injuries in recent months and insisted that he was “blessed by God and I have no stresses,” He also said that the frequent injury setbacks had been difficult to take as it is for all the players.
