"Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" actor Charlie Wright has been doing all he can to do justice to his talents and abilities. But still, he has earned a fair share of criticisms for his role as Rodrick Heffley, and some of them might be pretty harsh on this young man who is only 18 in age.

A social media hashtag protesting has been making shockwaves in the internet using #NotMyRodrick. The hashtag is used to protest against the casting of actor Charlie Wright as Rodrick Heffley in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul."
People did not enjoy the fact that Wright replaced Devon Bostick as Rodrick and thus, the trailer gathered 11,300 dislikes against 1,800 likes after ten days of release. The trailer of the movie was publicized on March 16, 2017.

Not only that, on March 23rd, a petition titled “Not My Rodrick” was created on iPetitions which criticized that Wright looks like "Johnny Depp Willy Wonka.” Over the next three days, the petitions gained over 10,000 signatures.

Apparently, the world is not enjoying the fact that Charlie is playing Rodrick in the movie.
Charlie has taken a lot of bashings, but still, he has not spoken much about it and maybe, he wants to silence the critics by his works and dedication.
But still, if you 're a fan of the movie series and have enjoyed the trailer thus far, you might as well go to a theater near you on May 19, 2017, and watch the movie.
