Martha MacCallum Still Married to Husband Daniel J. Gregory Clearing Off Rumors of Divorce

Martha MacCallum's Married Life with her Husband:

Martha got married to Dan Gregory, who is the Vice President of Gregory Packaging Incorporation, on August 22, 1992, at St. Elizabeth's Church. The couple has three children (Harry MacCallum Gregory, Elizabeth Bowes Gregory, and  Edward Reed Gregory).

In an interview with Diana Falzone who is a reporter for Fox News in February 2016, where Martha discussed what makes someone a lady she said that she has a daughter (Elizabeth Bowes Gregory) who was soon to be 20 years old.

However, she did not mention about her other two sons. Along with mentioning about her daughter, she explicitly discussed on the topic and described what it is like to be a "lady" and the multi-roles they have to play in a day-to-day routine.

Rumors About Her Divorce: Clearing Off

There have been many rumors about their clear separation and divorce. But the couple has remained together for twenty-four years fending off such rumors. However, in December of 2011, in an article like biography by Ian Spelling, which was titled 'Martha and her family get dressed up to celebrate' include everybody except her husband, Dan.

This brought out curiosity if things were not well between this husband and wife and just after about four months, she was seen with a ring finger. Nothing could be surely said if the couples were divorced or were having a troubled married life at that time.

However, all of the rumors seem to be fake when we took a look at her Twitter account. If you follow her on twitter, you can know how much she loves her husband as she has clearly mentioned in her twitter info bar 'Love Dan.' It has already been twenty-three years to their married life and this husband and wife still, seems to go steady and vigorous.

In April 2015 when Martha was on an episode of talk show “The O’Reilly Factor, she went against a campaign to replace Andrew Jackson’s Portray in the American $20 bill with a woman. Martha is a well-known gender gap denier and even went on to say

Women earn exactly what they are worth.”

This sparked lots of controversy in American politics and people discussed the truth about Gender gap for a long time.

The issues of Gender gap were even examined and addressed to by President Barack Obama. His first bill Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 tried to address the issue of unfair payment through prejudice. But Martha MacCallum went as far as to say that gender gap related payment issues didn’t exist regardless of the survey of 2009 taken by Central Bureau Survey of the USA which revealed that in America, women pay 77 cents for every dollar a man earned so was Martha wrong to make such accusations?

Well, she wasn’t entirely wrong, the survey in 2009 isn't actually entirely correct; there’s slight difference in the amount a man and a woman earns but not to that degree. The 2009 survey produced this 77 cents data just by comparing the average income of men with the average income for women, but it disregarded the fact that a majority of women are housewives and don’t earn money or make less money through part-times. If one reads through proper details, then one would find that married women earn less than men by a huge margin but unmarried women make as much as unmarried men, and the difference is minimal.

Thus in saying that women make as much as men isn't completely wrong as the idea of gender gap pay in America are falsified through false data and wrong assumptions. Sure a slight difference is still there but we can be sure that the condition of women is drastically better than what it used to be 50 years ago and that the female gender should not be treated as a “special privilege” that has to be taken care of and should be gifted and women should be treated equally as men.
