A sudden departure!

Greta Van Susteren, the former, veteran news anchor from Fox News is bidden good-bye by the 'MSNBC just after six months of her, working for them.' It became official for the viewers as Greta's tweeted about the departure, yesterday.

Vanity Fair, reported the happening of the same incident.

Her husband, John Coale, told CNNMoney,

"They let her go, she'd found out earlier today, and added, "We're working out contract issues now."

Additionally, A friend of Van Susteren's added,

"She was given no prior notice of the decision."

MSNBC President Phil Griffin addressed about parting ways with Greta and said,

"MSNBC and Greta Van Susteren have decided to part ways. Greta is a well-regarded television veteran and one of only a few broadcasters who can say they've hosted shows at all three major cable news networks. We are grateful to her and wish her the best."

Now that she is Fired and no longer a part of MSNBC, Ari Melber, the MSNBC's chief legal correspondent, will be taking over the 6 p.m. hour that had been Van Susteren's.

As for the people familiar with the situation, they reported Greta was struggling to gain adhesion unlike the rest of her colleagues who were channeling the anti-trump hysteria just right.

Meanwhile, MSNBC has been relishing the rating resurgence and at times, are dominating the Fox News. For the first time in the period of 17 years, MSNBC outnumbered both Fox News and CNN in regards to prime-time viewership on weeknights in May.

However, it wasn't a sudden experience of sudden departure for Greta, as she shared similar situation while departing from Fox News.

Husband Coale enlightened the matter, saying,

"Last September a courier arrived at Van Susteren's home in Washington, D.C. delivering two letters saying that she was being taken off the air immediately."

Greta however, tweeted after leaving the Fox and mentioned,

She even didn't get to bid a proper goodbye to her viewers, on-air.

Greta also revealed that she underwent cosmetic surgery before her debut at Fox. The surgery was performed to remove her under eye bags. She talked about the surgery On Monday night's premiere of her talk show on Fox,

"My only hope is that the swelling is gone before my 30th high school reunion this summer," she told Fox viewers. "As I'm sure you all understand out there, I'm hoping to make jealous all those guys who wouldn't date me in high school."

The veteran further added,

"I would never undergo surgery at a network's request, I did this because I wanted to do it and for no other reason."

Van Susteren's husband of 23 years also offered her the right response, saying

"Whatever you want. I love you this way, and I love you that way."

Greta worked for Fox, for 14 years, and was reportedly paid a salary around $ 12 million by Fox, which still wasn't enough for them to keep her around.

Hopefully, she will continue working with other channels despite her bitter experience at MSNBC and Fox.
