Did her weight loss cause trouble?
Despite being one of the most talented comediennes, Casey lost her job on Saturday Night Live alongside Michaela Watkins in 2009. Dropping the two new newcomers Casey and Michaela, SNL hired Nasim Pedrad and Jenny Slate.
The reason behind the replacement of Casey who had a flawless comic timing wasn’t revealed. However, it is said that she was fired as she couldn’t lose 30 pounds. Did her weight created a problem in her career or was there some other reason?
Later, in an exclusive interview with People, Casey revealed that her weight wasn’t the reason behind her replacement in SNL. In the interview, she said-
“I had an amazing time on SNL, and these rumors are completely untrue, And to clarify, the issue isn’t that I’m too fat, it’s that I’m too phat. Can I get a WHAT-WHAT!”
