Daymond John welcomed a baby with his long-time girlfriend turned fiance, Heather Taras on March 2, 2016. The baby was the couple’s first child, a daughter whom they named Minka Jagger John.

“The baby was born happy and healthy. Daymond and his longtime girlfriend are very excited and a little tired, but looking forward to all the happy times that are ahead,”

However, according to the reports on September 2016, Daymond John is an engaged man now. He proposed her longtime girlfriend, Heather Taras in the view of getting married.
Daymond went down on his knees during the taping of Shark Tank on September 22, 2016, and popped the question with a custom-designed emerald-cut diamond ring of 9.5-carat.
Following the proposal, Taras answered with a 'Yes," but the exact wedding dates of the couple have not been announced yet, perhaps they might get married soon. The news of wedding bells ringing for Daymond shall not come as that big of a surprise considering his fellow host Robert Herjaveck from ‘Shark Tank’ got engaged to his ‘Dancing with the Stars’ partner Kym Johnson.

Daymond John's Cancer Diagnosis:
During an interview with Good Morning America on May 10, 2017, Daymond revealed that he had thyroid cancer following which he was treated. And sharing about the tragic incident, Daymond said,
“I had an extensive physical and they discovered there was a nodule on thyroid, they removed it and it was stage 2 cancer on my thyroid … I didn’t skip a beat. I got some early detection and I understood that I had a challenge and if I attack it now, then I wouldn’t let it attack me. I had that removed. I didn’t miss anything, I was out partying and dancing two days later — not that I should of.”
Daymond highlighted the fact that early detection of cancer is the key to battle successfully with cancer and said,
“But I wanted to share this information with people, because what would I have went through if I decided to just stick my head in the sand and go, ‘You know what, I’m not going to check into stuff. If it happens it happens to everybody else,’ ”
Moreover, Daymond shared that he was fine now, but he needs to be monitored throughout his life.
“I’m absolutely great, I have to monitor it for the rest of my life. I have another half of my thyroid still in. In the event it comes back I will have to fight it.”
