While portraying the character of Bob Duncan in the hit “Good Luck Charlie,” Eric who stands tall with the height of 6 ft 4 inches weighed 260 pounds. He had to play a character of a cuddly big father to four cute kids. But in mid-2012, he was seen heading to the gym and looking out what he eats as he had gained a lot of weight which was killing his knees. Talking about it to QMI Agency, he said-
"Before everybody's eyes, I started changing. And I don't think they saw it coming."
"At the start of the season, I was limping around with knee problems and felt really old and weak. When I looked at myself on the show, I didn't recognize myself. I actually said, 'Who is that guest star?' and that's when I said, 'Holy crap! Time to get back to the gym.' "
