The publicist for the Cowboys, Rhonda Worthey had 18 months dating affairs with the famous quarterback, Troy Aikman, before she turned her love into the wedding in 2000. The couple got married in the April of 2000 at Plano, Texas and shared two daughters named Jordan Ashley Aikman and Alexa Marie Aikman.
However, the couple ended their eleven years of marriage, announcing their divorce in January 2011. It was a difficult time for Worthey and Aikman, but despite the separation, the Aikman explained that their divorce would not bother the commitment to his children. He briefed the media as,
“This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after ten years of marriage, we have decided to separate. We remain deeply committed to our children and respectfully ask that you honor our family’s privacy during this period of adjustment.”
As per reports, the couple had already started to split their assets two months before the separation. The divorce was intimately finalized in April 2011 as the judge quietly signed off their divorce paper.
Worthey received $1.75 million as the divorce settlement from the Troy Aikman, which certainly added numbers to her net worth, which currently dwells over $10 million.
The divorce was not the only tragedy she faced; just a year after the divorce, Rhonda Worthey also got involved in a drunk and dive incident in August 2012. She got arrested for public intoxication in Texas high school parking lot near Plano, Texas.
According to TMZ, the police officers reported that they saw two water bottles that appeared to be filled with alcohol in her vehicle. She reportedly yelled to the cops as,
“Do you know what this is gonna do to him? Troy?”
The cops then towed her car and arrested Worthey to Collin County Jail for her parking lot act. However, Worthey got released from the jail on the same day and pleaded no contest in exchange for 30 days probation.
Rhonda Worthey has not involved herself in another serious relationship but her ex-husband, Troy Aikman married for the second time on June 2, 2017. Even if Aikman is married for the second time, he has given all the time and support that his daughters require from their father.
The father-daughter relationship is not affected by the divorce of Worthey and Aikman; he makes out time to spend quality time together with his daughters, Jordan Ashley and Alexa Marie.
Troy often makes pleasant visits at his daughters’ lacrosse and volleyball games, consistently terming them “daddy’s girls” on his social media.
