She first rose to fame after working with Joel Silver at Silver Pictures. She also served as the co-president of Dark Castle Entertainment until 2009.

The film producer met the Iron Man (2008) actor in the set of the 2003 mystery thriller movie, Gothika (2003). The movie starred Robert Downey Jr. and Halle Berry.
