Jamaica's Toni-Ann Singh: Wiki & Exclusive Facts Of Miss World 2019

Big news for the beauty pageants enthusiasts! The world has a new beauty queen.

The new Miss World was announced on 14th December after the finale event held at the ExCeL London convention center in London, England. And the one who bagged the ultimate crown is Jamaica's, Toni-Ann Singh. She was crowned by last year's Miss World winner, Vanessa Ponce de Leon of Mexico.

Further, the two runners-up for the crown at the big event were Miss France, Ophely Mezino, and Miss India, Suman Rao.

Toni- Ann Singh, was born in Morant Bay, St. Thomas, Jamaica, in 1996. Her mother, Jahrine Bailey, is from Jamaica and of African-Caribbean descent while her father, Bradshaw Singh, is of Indo-Caribbean descent.

Toni is a true family girl who shares a very close bond with her parents, especially her mother. In fact, she credited her mother after winning Miss World and wrote on Instagram,

"My mother @jahrinebailey, I love you I love you I love you. I wish to become even half the woman you are. You are my strength, my number one supporter/cheerleader/fan and my absolute best friend"

Her family migrated to the United States while she was nine years old, and ever since, she has lived in Florida. In Florida, Toni was classically trained in voice, piano, and ballet lessons from a very young age.

As for her education, she is a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies. For her further studies and career, Miss World 2019 wants to study medicine and pursue a career in the medical field.

After winning the glorified title, Toni is determined to take her role as a global ambassador very seriously.
