Divorce is devastating most of the time, isn’t it? It takes months and months of time to get into conclusion in this kind of legal battles. But when we talk about the divorce of "Doctor Who" actor Christopher Eccleston, it was just a matter of minutes. Let’s find out about the reason behind the divorce.

Factor's Leading to Christopher Eccleston’s Divorce:

The former "Doctor Who" actor got married to copywriter wife Mischka at Islington Town Hall in November 2011. The two were sharing a healthy married life with two children, a son, Albert, and a daughter, Esme. The surprising part of the divorce of the two was that they got granted with ‘quickie’ divorce within just a couple of minutes. The actor has stated that the continuing behavior “has caused me stress, anxiety, sleeplessness and loss of weight.” In the divorce papers.

Another astonishing thing that happened in the divorce of the pair was neither Mischika nor Christopher was present for the hearing, and also Mischika did not contest the petition.

Just like that within a couple of minutes, the four years of marriage ended.

More About Christopher’s Children:

Christopher shares two children with his ex-wife. He is rarely out with his family and is more secretive about his personal life. But likely to other parents, he too has a special relationship with his children. And he has proved that time and again with his statements.

Earlier in 2015, the former "Doctor Who" actor discussed his family, where he said;

“I’m a very hands-on dad. That’s where the love is – the nappies, the sleepless nights.”

That is very pleasing to know, right? Further, he divulged,

“The more you do, the closer you are to your children and I’m enjoying every minute of it. I don’t know if I would have been ready in my 30s – I’m mellower and more patient than I was. There are only 19 months between Albert and Esme and my wife, Mischka, and I like that – we hope they’ll always have each other.”

Furthermore, in September 2015, he shared,

“Prior to the children, acting was the most important thing in the world to me, and that’s a lot of pressure to put on a thing. The children are my absolute focus now. They’ve taken the heat off and matured me and relaxed me.”

It seems, he is more into parenting. And undoubtedly, it will be immense to see this English actor getting into parenting and growing in his profession.

The Total Outcome:

The 52-years old actor’s movies include Let Him Have it, Shallow Grave, Jude Elizabeth, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Others, 28 Days later, The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising, and Thor: The Dark World.

And currently, he is working on the American drama series The Leftovers on HBO along with Fortitude. And all his work has contributed to making a sizeable net worth of $6 million.
