Veteran news anchor, Amanda Davis died following a massive spontaneous stroke, at the age of 62, in Atlanta today.

Amanda was hospitalized on Tuesday night after suffering a stroke, while she was waiting to board a flight at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Amanda was flying to Texas for her step-father's funeral when she suffered the unfortunate stroke that took her life later. The funeral of her step-father who died earlier this month was scheduled for yesterday!

CBS 46, where Amanda was working as a morning news anchor, posted online on behalf of Amanda's family and said,

“Her family is asking for privacy at this difficult time, Amanda’s friends and colleagues at CBS 46 are praying for her family.”

Amanda's colleague, Sharon Reeds confirmed the news via tweet where she stated, Amanda was surrounded by her family and friends while she passed away.

Davis was previously associated, with FOX 5 News, before being a part of CBS 46. Moreover, FOX 5 Atlanta also remembered Amanda and the impact she left behind,
