Jermaine Dupri Contacts With Former Girlfriend Janet Jackson! But The Relationship Isn't The Same

American hip hop artist Jermaine Dupri and former girlfriend singer Janet Jackson seem to be finding their way back to each other again, slowly!

The couple, who split in 2009 after sharing a relationship of seven years, had a lot of on-going speculations recently, regarding their relationship status. And well, on November 22, an insider close to the couple told E!News that they are "getting close again." 

The insider further mentioned, that Jermaine and Janet started to get back in touch after Janet parted ways from her ex-husband, Wissam Al Mana in early April 2017, before Janet went on tour. Janet and Al Mana shared a husband-wife relationship for five years. 

Meanwhile, Jermaine and Janet are yet to become a couple officially, but are "consistently in contact." Another source told E!News that Janet is still single and as of now, they are only sharing a close bond.

" Janet is single. She is good friends with Jermaine. They share a very close and beautiful bond. He's been there for her and she loves that about him. Anything can happen in the future but right now she has a lot on her plate."

Although, as much as fans would have loved to see the couple getting back together again, a source told E!News around September that Janet is not in a place right now to be dating again. The source divulged,

 "Janet is really not in a position to get involved with someone at this time. She is open though for something more down the line. They are in the talks of working on some new projects."

Born on September 23, 1972, in Georgia, Jermaine Dupri goes by the full name, Jermaine Dupri Mauldin. He is popularly known as a music producer, songwriter, and rapper. Moreover, Jermaine is mostly recognized for his collaborations.

His significant collaboration was with Mariah Carey for her multi-platinum album, 'The Emancipation of Mimi.' Moreover, Dupri co-wrote the song " We Belong Together."

Dupri has also worked with Chris Kelly and Chris Smith to create the duo 'Kriss Kross' and helped their debut album, 'Totally Krossed Out,' which achieved multi-platinum sales. Additionally, Dupri also produced the show 'The Rap Game.'

While getting to know more about Dupri, he is also a proud father of two kids, daughters, Shaniah Mauldin and Jalynn Dupri, whom he introduced to the world via his Instagram on National Daughter's Day on September 25, 2015.

Dupri's elder daughter, Shaniah's mother is known to be Pam Sweat, but the mother of Jalynn is still not disclosed to the media.
