Kristen got more than the country's Independence on fourth of July!
Kristen Corley said "yes" after her long-time boyfriend Chance the Rapper proposed her in front of their several friends and family on the Independence Day party on 4 July 2018.
In the video posted by The Shade Room, the Cocoa Butter Kisses hitmaker surprised his now-fiancee after he got on his one knee before popping the question:
"Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?'"

When the bride-to-be said yes, the couple's two-year-old daughter Kensli was called over to join the celebration of the happiest moments of her parents. After the celebration, the rapper's brother Taylor Bennett posted a congratulatory message which stated:
'Proposed In The Hunninds! @chancetherapper You A Real One! 7-4-18 #BlockBoys (sic)'
The rapper, age 25, also confirmed their engagement news on Twitter, writing:
"She said yes"

Kristen is oldest and best friend to Chance, which Chance gushed about her wife-to-be to be his best friend first and wished on her Birthday in May 2018. He said:
"From the beginning beginning to the end end. You are my oldest and best friend. You are responsible for everyone of the most wonderful things in my life. I'm forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God. Forever and ever babe. Happy Birthday."
The newly-engaged couple is dating since 2013 and were blessed with the baby daughter in September 2015. They had their family complete with the arrival of their daughter. However, they went through many ups and downs in their relationship after the birth of their daughter.
They decided to call off their relationship in May 2016 whereas, Kristen filed court documents asking the court's to remain a "sole caretaker" of their daughter and also requested child support.
However, Kristen and Chance solved their misunderstandings and decided to keep their child' interest forward with the support of the lawyer. And so, she withdrew her case in January 2017. The lawyer for Kristen stated:
'This case ended quickly because of the unusually high level of cooperation between the parents putting their child's best interest first.'
And so, the pair returned to their self after a short-split.
Similarly, Kristen and her daughter were part of the Chance's acceptance speech for the best new artist at the Grammy Awards 2017, when he thanked them for their love and support. He said:
“I wanna thank God for my mother and my father who’ve supported me since I was young. For Kirsten and Kensli, for all of Chicago.”
While the couple is cherishing is their soon-to-be-married, their fans are also looking forward to their union.
