Every relationship has its complications, but it's up to the people in the relation, to handle things with care and make sure the impediment doesn't end up on a sad note. 

Kirsten Corley, the girlfriend-turned-wife of famous rapper and singer Chance the Rapper, is an excellent example of embodying the above statement. Kirsten's journey with Chance was filled with ups and downs and sailed through rough tides. 

However, the troubled duo's ride reached the destination as they finally got married.

Tumultuous Dating History With Chance The Rapper

Chancellor Johnathan Bennett, who's known professionally as Chance the Rapper, began dating Kirsten Corley in 2013. The couple had first met in 2003, ten years before they started dating, at his mother's office party, and Chance became attracted to the young girl.

However, their time together saw them break up and patch up numerous times. With their relationship on a bumpy trail, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Kensli, in September 2015.

The birth of their child instead of bringing the couple's together had an opposite effect. Instead of reveling in the birth of their child, they decided to bring their relationship to a full stop. 

Kirsten reportedly filed a petition requesting the court in February 2016 asking the court to award the "sole caretaker" role of their daughter and also claimed child support.

Moves In With Rapper Boyfriend

However, Kirsten and Chance gave their relationship one more chance and decided to act in the best interest of their child. She withdrew the petition in March 2016 and moved in together with her boyfriend and started living together like a family.

Well, the parents of a beautiful daughter overcame their problem and decided to harness their family together. A few months down the line, Chance posted a freestyle rap video to Monica's So Gone, on 10 August 2016. The video at the end gave away a glimpse of the mother of his child, Kirsten.

Post their petition saga petition; their bond grew more robust. Moreover, she remained very supportive of her partner during the internal conflicts he went through in 2016. He even dedicated a song for her citing the support he received from Kirsten through the help of religion and abstinence. As per her partner,

"I need you to hear one song on my album that has my best verse that I have written in my life,It's called "We Go High." I explain that my wife literally saved my life by becoming celibate and going and getting baptized."

Their relationship grew stronger and Chance took to Instagram in January 2017 and posted a picture of the rapper holding his wife-to-be and daughter tightly and wrote: "No matter what we are, we're always family."

Moreover, Chance posted a picture of their daughter on Instagram, February 10, 2017, captioning,

"Nothing I'm doing currently would be possible without this girl right here. She's so kind and loving and brilliant and beautiful. And I wouldn't have her without her mother, so thank you for creating and raising the greatest gift I've ever received. Cannot wait to get back to this."

The duo finally settled down with each other in a subtle way. Further, Chance gave a big shout-out to daughter Kensli and girlfriend Kirsten as he was awarded a Grammy for the Best New Artist at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

Both of them are in their early 20's but have proven to be very conscious about revealing much in the media. 

From Girlfriend To Fiancee

The pair finally decided to settle down and became engaged on 4 July 2018. Chance got down on his one knee and proposed to her long-time girlfriend, Kirsten, to be his wife.

The proposal video later got shared by The Shade Room, where Kirsten seemed to be surprised by the proposal. However, her initial surprise was swept away by emotion, and the baby mama happily accepted the proposal.

After the proposal, the couple's two-year-old daughter Kensli joined the celebration of her parent's happiest moment. The 25-year-old rapper also took to his Twitter with the announcement of their engagement news, writing:

"She said yes... "

Similarly, the Cocoa Butter Kisses hitmaker's brother also shared a congratulatory message, which stated:

"Proposed In The Hunninds! @chancetherapper You A Real One! 7-4-18 #BlockBoys (sic)" 

Chance, at the time, revealed that they were planning to get married in March 2019 and promised to have a love-filled ceremony and dance between the bride and groom will be mandatory. 

Kirsten's then-fiance also vowed to make the event beautiful and memorable.

Fantasy Wedding For Kirsten & Chance The Rapper

True to the promise, Kirsten and her musician boyfriend got married in a fantasy wedding.

Married on 9th March 2019 at the Pelican Hill resort in Newport Beach, California, the longtime partner's wedding was a star-studded affair. The likes of socialite Kim Kardashian, fellow rapper Kanye West, and comedian Dave Chapelle made up the 150 guests at the ceremony.

On the day of the wedding, to match the all-white theme, Kirsten donned a strapless gown of the same color. Meanwhile, her groom wore a tuxedo of the same with a black bow tie.

The event was a smooth affair except for a small - yet cute - mishap from the newly-weds' daughter, Kensli. The three-year-old got picked up by Chance after she ran to him amid the ceremony.

Two months earlier, in December of 2019, Kirsten and the No Problems rapper officially got married in a civil ceremony at the Cook County clerk's office in Chicago.

Pregnant For 2nd Time With Husband's Baby

After the grand wedding came the news of Kirsten's being pregnant with her boyfriend turned husband's second baby.

On 14th March 2019, the newlywed took to Insta snap to reveal that their family was going to grow into a family of four. Sharing an image of her cradling the baby bump, a bikini-clad Kirsten wrote:-

"Oh yeah, we're pregnant."

Her husband, Chance, joined in on the fun as he jokingly wrote on Instagram that a new baby was dropping in September. In the same post, the I Might Need Security hitmaker revealed the gender of their second baby while thanking God for the pregnancy.

Finally, on 29th August 2019, a bundle of joy arrived in the world, adding more happiness into her married life. She revealed the birth of her baby girl Marli Grace on through her Insta handle, citing few details about her baby's birthdate.

Interestingly, even though she kept away from revealing the face of her newborn in the first reveal of her child, the model dressed her baby in a cloth containing a humorous text that read,

"I am who she says I am"

However, fans were able to catch a glimpse of her adorable daughter as she posted a picture of her and the baby on 9th October 2019. For now, the two are happier than ever and look forward to keeping their bond stronger than ever.
