The San Diego law enforcement also reportedly began questioning the star at around 12: 30 am in the morning after he and his guy friends allegedly spent the night out. The reports also suggested that the officers found himself having troubles standing still and also was slurring his speech.
The San Diego Police Department stated in a statement,
"At that point it was determined he was unable to care for his own well-being,"
"[Police] placed him under arrest for being drunk in public."
Also, it is well known that when someone is arrested for public drunkenness in San Diego, he does have the option to go to detox where he can sleep off their drunkenness for as long as four hours if he follows the directions well. The officials explained this too.
"It doesn't affect your record, and it doesn't count as an arrest or anything,"
But the news suggests that he was not cooperative with the officers as he was taken to detox and was hence arrested for four hours before being released without bail.
However, the star actor has his story to tell, and he has denied the reports of him being arrested.
He took over his Twitter to elaborate what happened and put his case forth.
Went down to SD to see my buddy before he deployed. I wasn't arrested I was detained bc there was no evidence to charge me with a crime. — Miles Teller (@Miles_Teller) June 19, 2017
He continued to make his claims in some other tweets posted on his official account.
