But, fans were left confused when rumors surfaced that he began dating Dear Eleanor co-star Isabelle Fuhrman in 2013. The reason for the confusion was, fans thought that Katherine was still Joel’s girlfriend.
However, the former rumor was never confirmed by any party, and the Super 8 actor continued his relationship with Katherine till 2015. After that, the pair reportedly parted ways.

Joel’s admirers were in for a treat when they thought Joel started dating his The Kissing Booth, Joey King in 2018.
Despite the constant appearance on each other’s social media, the pair turned out to be close friends like their on-screen characters in the teen movie. Joel considered her as his sister in real life. Thus, romance rumors went out of the window.
Interestingly, the pair will return as the best friends on the much-loved movie’s sequel The Kissing Booth 2 in 2020. Interestingly, the first movie had a gay romance, maybe the storyline about the gay couple will increase in the second installment of the project.

The actor, age 23, was born on 31st January 1996, in Monterey, CA. He got into acting because of his elder brother. Well, he came along with his father when his brother moved to the city of dreams to pursue acting.
While in LA, Joel decided to earn some money doing commercials, but his brother’s agent convinced him to go for an audition for a movie. The movie turned out to be Hollywood heavyweight Steven Spielberg’s film Super 8 and luckily after multiple call back auditions Joel landed the part.
After the project, he went on to star in Don’t Let Me Go, Sins of Our Youth, Mercy, The River Thief, and F the Prom. However, it was The Kissing Booth which propelled him to international fame.
