American journalist Anderson Cooper and his boyfriend NYC nightclub mogul Benjamin Maisani have split up and confirmed it too on Thursday after being in open gay relationship for nine years.
Anderson made an official announcement of their split via a statement to Daily Mail without stating the reason for their split, which read,
'Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago. We are still family to each other, and love each other very much. We remain the best of friends, and will continue to share much of our lives together.'
Anderson was spotted with his ex-boyfriend Benjamin Maisani for the last time earlier this week while leaving their Manhattan home.
According to Daily Mail, Anderson was spending quality time with 33-year-old Radiologist Victor Lopez and even had five trips to Dallas where Victor lives.
Furthermore, Anderson was spotted with Victor in pictures posted to social media from January and February, while he attended the 33rd birthday party of Victor. After parting ways with longtime partner Benjamin, it is likely that Anderson's romance blossomed with a new partner Victor.

Back to Anderson and Benjamin's dating life, Benjamin wasn't happy as Anderson used to travel a lot for the work. While speaking to People, Anderson affirmed that Benjamin was annoyed by the hectic schedule of Anderson, but Benjamin also knew that he loves it.
Despite Cooper’s hectic schedule, Anderson and Benjamin made some time to travel before their split, vacationing in Tahiti together in July alongside Irina Shayk, Bradley Cooper, Diane von Furstenberg, Allison Williams, and Cohen.
