Her husband was previously married to Lyssa Rae Brittain. They tied the knot on the 22nd of June in 1982, and had three children; Barbara Katie "B.K" Chapman, Lyssa "Baby Lyssa" Rae Chapman, and Tucker Dee Chapman with her.

The day before Beth’s wedding to Chapman, his daughter Barbara lost her life in a car accident in Fairbanks, Alaska. Beth and her husband-to-be Chapman were informed about the tragedy on Saturday morning before they exchanged vows.

After consulting with the minister, the wedding went as planned. The pair announced the death of Chapman’s daughter at their reception.

The couple shared two children: Bonnie Joanne Chapman & Garry Chapman. Duane has also adopted Beth’s daughter, Cecily Barmore-Chapman.

Cecily and Dominic Davis are Beth’s two children from her failed marriage with her husband's best friend from high school.

Beth Smith, whose real name is Alice Elizabeth Smith, was a reality star. She was born on 29th October 1967, in Denver, Colorado.

The dearly departed reality star was the youngest licensed bondsman in the entire state of Colorado as she held it at the age of twenty-one.

Talking about her TV gigs, Beth appeared in the shows like Dog and Beth on the Hunt and Dog the Bounty Hunter. Meanwhile, she also grabbed the media attention by her transformation. Beth, who once weighed 180lbs, stunned everyone after going through some severe weight loss.

Contrary to widespread gossips, Beth didn't achieve the miraculous weight loss by going under the knife but through a strict diet regiment, which included consuming tons of veggies & fruits. Her work-out routines were also of great help.

She was reportedly receiving an incredible salary from her profession, though her incomes and earnings remained a mystery. However, Beth’s husband accumulates the net worth of $597 thousand. As per Beth's Facebook, she was the president of the National Bail Bonds Association until her passing.

Bouts With Throat Cancer

Dearly departed Beth and her husband's world came crashing when they learned about the former's stage two throat cancer in early 2017. The situation looked bleak as she claims that the doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of surviving.

Amazingly enough, within a year of the initial diagnosis, Beth declared herself cancer-free following successful treatment. It was her husband, Duane who first delivered the news to her.

But then another tragedy struck. In late November 2018, she underwent surgery after the physicians discovered same cancer, which had created havoc, a year earlier.

Still recovering from the life-saving surgery, Beth was making the most of her secured time. Her new role as grandmom to his son Leland's newborn brought much-needed joy in her life.

With Husband Duane Chapman In Death Bed?

By May 2019, the reality star's battle with stage 4 cancer reached its peak, leading into a hospital stay. A tiresome Beth was no longer prescribing to medications which made her sick.

And on 26th June 2019, Beth died after succumbing to her ailment. She left the earth surrounded by family. More importantly, her husband Doug remained by her side until she took her last breath.

Speaking to CNN, Gillian Sheldon - Champman family's representative - shared that Beth had passed away in a Honolulu hospital. Days before her death, doctors placed her in a medically induced coma. First responders had initially admitted her to ICU at Queen's Medical Center in Hawaii.

A grieve stricken Duane took to Twitter and wrote:-

"It's 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side."

Several entities, including WGN, mourned the loss. Beth and Duane's daughter Bonnie too shared a heartfelt message on Twitter following the tragedy.
