Ana Celia de Armas Caso was born on 30 April 1988 in Havana, Cuba. Her mother Ana Caso is Spanish and her father Ramon de Armas is Cuban so her ethnicity is half Spanish half Cuban. She has a brother in his family but more details about him are unknown.
Ana decided that she wanted to be an actor when she was 12. She enrolled in the National Theater School of Cuba when she was 14. She moved to Spain at the age of 18 for more opportunities.
Career
Ana made her acting debut in 2006. She played the role of Maria on Una rosa de Francia (2006). Her first big break was landing a role in the 2007 Spanish TV series, El Internado.Â
Then, Ana moved to Los Angeles in 2014 in order to further her career. She acted in the 2015 erotic thriller-horror movie Knock Knock alongside Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves.
Though the movie wasn’t a big production or box office success, it did help make Ana’s presence known. Her next projects were Exposed (2016), Hands of Stone (2016), War Dogs (2016), and Overdrive (2017). Among them, Hands of Stone was her first international role.
While Ana had indeed made a name for herself, she was nowhere near being the superstar she is today. It all changed when she starred in Blade Runner 2049 alongside Ryan Gosling in 2017.
