Andre Gray chose a life of hard work and pride for himself.

Moving away from the gang environment at his hometown Wolverhampton, Andre moved onto Luton in Match 2012 to start a new chapter in life.

Now, he is a renowned striker in the legendary English club, Watford, and is a constant feature of the highest football league of the world, the Premier League.

Height, Dating, And Girlfriend

Coming across Andre Gray, people often get intimidated from his height of 5 feet 8 inches (1.78m), body full of civil rights movements tattoos, and deep scar in his left cheek.

But in reality, he is a very adorable person and is genuinely in love with his girlfriend, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, since 2016. The couple confirmed their relationship in 2017 after the Shout Out To My Ex star posted a snap of the two in her Snapchat. The pair seem pretty serious as she was a reason behind his important professional move.

Interestingly, his transfer to Watford was triggered when his girlfriend was banned from sitting in the director’s box in the footballer's previous team, Burnley. Apparently, her popularity was the reason behind the club's reason to ban her.

Before dating Leigh-Ann, the striker was dating a girl for six years. The girl, when asked about her split with Andre, recalled that they did not officially get separated.

The two had taken a break from their relationship, but when she saw him with another woman, she was devastated — saying that even after the split, the two are good friends and often exchange messages with each other.

Age, Parents & Family

Andre Gray was born on 26 June 1991 in Wolverhampton, England. His parents split up before he was even born; thus, he was raised by a single mother and grandfather in a compact family.

While growing up, the Watford striker was involved in the gang culture of his locality, which got him into a lot of trouble. After Andre's grandfather’s death at the age of 13, he became more reckless.

The same resulted in him being kicked out from the Wolves training camp. Also, he was stabbed in the face with a knife in December 2011 during a night out with friends.

The incident changed the way the youngster looked at life and started becoming more focused on walking in the right path. Determined to work hard, the 28-year-old moved to Shrewsbury and spent six years there.

But, that did not help him much as his home was not far away, and he would get involved in trouble more often. Then he made a career defying move to Luton Town in 2012. From then onwards, his career started taking height.

He was part of England C’s national team from 2012-14 and joined Championship side Brentford. Also, he played briefly for two seasons in Burnley and got promoted in the top tier of English football, the Premier League.

In 2017, he was transferred to Watford for a whopping $23 million. Now, the Watford’s record signing is helping out his family as well as making a name for himself in football.
