Anthony Mackie is an actor best known for playing Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Some of his other major works are The Hurt Locker (2008), Million Dollar Baby (2004), and The Hate U Give (2018).

He made his on-screen debut in 2002 and played opposite Eminem on 8 Mile the same year. The actor portrayed famous personalities like Martin Luther King Jr. and Tupac Shakur in All the Way (2016) and Notorious (2009) respectively.

Anthony was born on 23rd September 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Martha G. Mackie and Willie Mackie. His father was a carpenter who owned a roofing business.

The actor has four siblings: brothers Calvin Mackie and Willie Mackie Jr., and sisters Maryane Holland and Linda Nellie.

Wife & Kids

The Avengers: Endgame (2019) actor was previously married to Sheletta Chapital. The two first met when they were seven years old. Anthony talked about his first meeting on the Queen Latifah Show: 

It was funny. I was coming from a very bad school and going to a very good school. And when I walked into second grade it was Dr. Seuss Day, and we had the little hot plate out and the teacher was making green eggs and ham. 

So I walk in and I looked and I see this little girl with these ratty pigtails and skinny legs, and I was like, ‘Wow!’

The couple had been dating on and off ever since. They welcomed a son in 2009 and another child before their marriage on 17th December 2014.

Anthony revealed that he had welcomed a third child with his wife in an interview with Los Angeles Times held on 13th November 2015. 

Divorce

Anthony filed for a divorce with Shaletta in 2017 after three years of marriage. According to TMZ, the split was amicable.

The split was finalized in 2018. Reportedly, both the actor and his ex-wife were to share joint custody of their children.

The MCU star made his on-screen debut in 2002 in the TV series, As If, for which he was uncredited. Anthony played in a few more movies and series before getting his big break in Million Dollar Baby in 2004.
