Dascha Polanco's Struggle With Her Boyfriend And Kids

On February 5, Dascha shared a photo of Xtassy and broke the heartbreaking news. Unfortunately, the public is still unaware of what caused Xtassy's death.

Dascha Polanco’s Struggle On Raising Children!

Did you know that the thirty-nine-year-old Dascha Polanco got pregnant at the very early age of eighteen?

In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine in 2015, Polanco revealed her hardship when she got pregnant and how her boyfriend ran away from his responsibility.

She also talked about weight loss and revealed how her physique started transforming after conceiving a baby.

Dascha gave birth to her daughter Dasany Kristal Gonzalez in 2000 when she was a freshman at Hunter College. Later, Dasany portrayed the character of young Daya in Orange is the New Black.

Similarly, in an interview with Latina magazine in 2015, Polanco talked about how she struggled to raise her daughter as a single mother and her battle with depression following her mother's death.

As the new cover star of the June/July 2015 issue, Polanco said-

“I went through a large depression and started feeling emotionally isolated. But because my parents taught me that God is going to send you obstacles and you have to overcome them, it put me at ease. It's very interesting, the times I've felt that I can't breathe emotionally, and I react to things in a very impulsive manner – where it's anger or crying. And being able to speak to somebody about that was kind of a revelation that it was okay for me to feel depressed.”

She continued-

“I remember having to find somebody to stay with my daughter because I didn't want to stop school, and I couldn't stop working. It was raining, and I was like, "Who can I trust that is not my mom?" I realized you have to put your armour on; you have to become a warrior, because family is not there.”

Polanco then conceived a son named Aryam. Polanco says that her two kids have two different fathers. In an interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine in June 2015, she explained-

"I used to feel self-conscious about the fact that my kids have two different fathers. Being a statistic was something that was so negative to me. But now I'm like, 'Hey, listen, it is what it is. It didn't work out the first time; it didn't work out the second time. I have two kids who have two different baby fathers.'"

Polanco and her son’s father were engaged for around six years and ended their engaged relationship around two years ago. Polanco is believed to be the mother of three children. However, there is no information about her third baby.

Similarly, in a conversation with The Huffington Post in July 2013, Dascha revealed her relationship status, which was under wraps for a long time.

In the interview, when she was asked whether she is married or has a significant other, Dascha replied-

“I am engaged to a good-hearted man that supports me and allows me to be me. We met at the Dominican Day parade.”

She also revealed that she has an amazing fiancé who inspired and encouraged her to follow her dreams.
