Afterward, the journalists exchanged their wedding vows on the 22nd of April 2017 in the presence of friends and family. The wedding that took place in Austin, Texas was themed with a mix of Texas ranch and garden party.

Since the festivity, Garrett has had no rumors or controversies surrounding his relationship with wife. The pair live in Washington with Garrett’s rescue dog named Shiner.

For his education, Garrett attended Klein High School from 2003 to 2007. Later, he enrolled in the Southern Methodist University and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in the field of Journalism in 2007.

Immediately after completing his studies, Garrett landed a job as a researcher with NBC News. He stayed at the position for a year and then moved on to be an Associate Producer for the network in 2009. Garrett left the role in June of 2011 to move higher up in the corporate ladder.
