Over Two Decades Of Relationship With Husband, Undergoes Double Mastectomy

Jacqui Jeras, who previously forecasted WJLA, Washington’s ABC affiliate, is not just good at her job but is also a family person with husband and children. On top of that, she has been together with her husband for over two decades.

Jacqui is married to the love of her life, Mike, a pilot by profession.

Turns out Mike has been Jacqui's best friend since college. The pair exchanged their wedding vows back in 1993. In 2018, the duo marked their 25 years of togetherness. Jacqui and Mike are not only a great couple, but they are also proud parents of two children: the oldest daughter Aurora and a son named Ashton.

Well, the duo shares a perfect family of four as they cherish each other's presence in their life. While they appreciate having each other around, Jacqui reduced her chance of having breast cancer to 3%.

Back in 2012, Jacqui underwent a double mastectomy to prevent herself from having breast cancer. Her family suffers from a long history of breast cancer due to lack of BRCA gene mutation.

But, after genetic counseling and long research, Jacqui decided to have both of her breast removed. And while making the decision, her husband Mike was there to back her up.

Jacqui Jeras, the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, wins heart with her quick wit and perfect measurements. Jacqui, who stands at an average height, celebrates her birthday every year on 2nd July. 

For education, Jacqui holds a degree in BA Journalism / Mass Communication from Iowa State University along with a certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississipi State University. She began her career in reporting as a senior reporter at KCAU-TV in Sioux City.

Later, she joined The Weather Channel in 2016. Since then, she has been putting her expertise on the field. With her work, even at this age, Jacqui earns a handsome amount of salary to add up to her net worth. She is estimated to have a salary of $50,930.
