Kate Beirness Husband, Salary, Parents

Sportscaster Kate Beirness is one of the first Canadian to break the dominance of male in the sports commentary business. The SportsCentre host is considered a humble woman aside from her professional success and national recognition.

Her bio is enough to shut down any haters, who doubt her ability as the face of Canada's sports business!

Kate Beirness Age, Education & Salary

Kate was born in Port Perry, Canada as the daughter of gay parents: John Beirness and Chris Wagenaar; not much is known about her biological mother.

She was athletic since her teenage years; she played basketball while at high school. However, she left sports due to a torn ACL. After completing her education from the University of Ontario, she sought out a career as a sports anchor.

Although her first job was at Sportsnet, she soon left and joined Rogers TV, where she worked for nearly two years.

Kate eventually joined TSN in 2009, and her graph has gone only upwards after that. For the network, she has hosted several events like NBA Drafts and Olympic's pre-show.

Further, she was appointed the first woman presenter on SportsCentre. She even worked on other channels, including CTV, BNN, and CP24.

Secret Married Life, Husband Details

Despite her growing popularity, Kate has successfully concealed her dating life from the paparazzi. Although there have been gossips in the past about her wedding and husband, Kate is yet to provide concrete evidence on the matter.

Back in November 2012, Canadian sportscaster Darren Dutchyshen shared a tweet claiming that the sports anchor was about to get married in Mexico, eight days later. He even suggested that the wedding's location was set to Mexico as Kate was not allowed to get married in Canada because of her criminal background.

However, Kate contradicted Darren's statement claiming that the criminal record was false but, the part about the wedding was right. Despite her admittance to getting married, she didn't speak anything more on her soon-to-be husband.

The TSN reporter mentioned her husband on one more occasion. In December 2012, Kate exclaimed via a tweet that her husband often visited the CrowsSports to sharpen his goalie skates.

After the 2012 tweet, Kate has not mentioned her husband. Many suspects if she ever married in the first place. But, on the other hand, many of her admirers believed her statement claiming that she was only trying to protect her husband's privacy.

However, Kate's real marital status can only be known once she decides to speak in the matter herself.
