Kayce Smith was hosting The Sidelines while her favorite team Texas A&M was losing in a match in 2015. In a fit of anger, she tore her jacket revealing her bare shoulders. It seemed like an aggressive fan reacting to her team, but the incident changed her life forever.
While the passionate sports broadcaster was upset for her team, a dermatologist nearby noticed something off about Kayce’s birthmark. But, before the professional could say anything, the ESPN host left.
However, the excellent dermatologist found a way to contact her and asked her to get tested for cancer. Thus, at the age of 25, Kayce was diagnosed with Stage 1 Melanoma Skin Cancer.
Brave Kayce documented her treatment online and became an advocate for cancer.

Talented Kayce didn’t sit at home after the show wrapped up; she found another job with reputed NBC Sports Boston. After working for the channel, she went on to join Barstool Sports in May 2018 and continued to kill in the hosting game.
