Kendrick Nunn is a promising NBA player who currently plays as a shooting guard for Miami Heat. Before starting his career as a professional NBA player in 2019, Kendrick played college basketball for Simeon High School in Chicago, Illinois and later transferred to Oakland University in 2017.

Bio And Career

The American basketball player was born on 3 August 1995 in Chicago, Illinois. His height extends to 6 feet 2 inches (1.88m) and he weighs around 190lbs (86.2kg).

Talking about his education, Kendrick attended Simeon High School in Chicago, Illinois and went to the University of Illinois to pursue his college studies where he played college basketball for about three years. 

However, the player was dismissed from the University of Illinois under the ground of found guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from a domestic-violence arrest in 2016. Kendrick was accused of hitting a woman in the head, pushing her and then pouring water on her. The player was then a junior and ranked second in scoring, averaging 15 points per game, in Illinois.

After taking a one-year-long break, the player joined the Oakland University in 2017 and began to play for its college basketball team. He showcased his amazing basketball skills by averaging 25.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 2017-18 which resulted in leading the Oakland Grizzlies in scoring and finishing second in the nation in scoring behind Trae Young.

Shortly after that, Kendrick had the opportunity to sign a partially guaranteed deal with the Golden State Warriors. But in October 2018, he was cut from the team and was added to their G-League roster instead.

Further, Kendrick proved himself successful in the G-League by averaging 19 points per game and after that, the player started to play for the Miami Heat's Summer League team and showed his excellent gameplay by scoring 28 points and 27 points in separate games.

However, the American basketball player debuted on 23 October 2019 as a professional NBA player and started to play for Miami Heat.

Contract Details And Salary

The basketball player signed a three-year contract worth $3,085,450 with Miami Heat in 2019. He is guaranteed to get $454,737 from the deal with an annual average salary of $1,028,483. 

It is reported that Kendrick will get a base salary of  $1,416,852: carrying a cap hit of $1,416,852 and a dead cap value of $450,000.

Moreover, on 1 December 2019, his salary was increased from $300K to $450K due to his good performance in the field.

Kendrick is not married yet but he is blessed with a baby boy named Kyren born on 8 January 2016. 

However, the player has chosen to keep the identity of the mother of his child a secret.
