Multiple Children With Ex-Husband?
Back in 2013, it came out as a surprise to everybody when Kirsten Storms revealed that she was married.
However, the gist of surprise elevated when her husband was none other than her co-star and husband, Brandon Barash.

The revelation did not end there, cause the couple opened up another surprise, which is so cute that fans could help but admire.
The former lovebirds revealed about expecting their first child in 2013, which was the same year they got married. Revealing the duo got married in June 2013, Brandon explained to PEOPLE about expecting their first child by saying,
“We’re having a little girl in January. It’s been the most amazing couple of months of our lives.”
Kirsten and her then-husband Brandon welcomed her first child, a daughter named Harper Rose Barash on 7th January 2014.
Despite welcoming their daughter, the only one who they have in the name of children, the couple could not maintain their relationship and ended up in divorce.
Sickness/Health Illness Caused Divorce?
Kirsten and Brandon got divorced in 2016, and it all happened amicably.
Many speculated Kirsten's illness was the cause, but the father of her daughter explained the split in such words.
“We are splitting due to the cliché irreconcilable differences, but we’re splitting amicably. We have every intention of remaining a family through this and co-parenting our kid and retaining a friendship in the efforts of raising her in a healthy environment.”
He continued,
“This was not a hasty decision; a lot of thought and therapy went into this. But we’ve decided that raising our daughter in two separate homes would be a healthier choice for all of us.”
The Days of Our Lives star also explained,
“We went to therapy for a long time, trying to figure out how to communicate better with each other,” she said. “It’s not anything that we dislike about each other.”
But despite the split, the former couple are firm on remaining good friends with one another and are willing to do whatever it takes to give their daughter the right upbringing.
“We are getting along, and I would say enjoying each other’s company more now that we don’t have the pressure of what comes with a relationship added on to that. I think Brandon and I are really looking forward to getting our friendship with each other back.”
For parents, there is nothing more significant than love for their children, and that same love is keeping Kristen and Brandon together. The former couple pledged to stay as a family for the sake of their daughter; a decision that never got questioned.
Baby Despite Health Issues
Kristen had a substantial reason for keeping her married life private in spite of the media's queries about her personal life. Unfortunately, she had endometriosis, a situation that can cause severe pain while in periods. Per Brandon,
“We kept things quiet because of everything that can go wrong during the first trimester. Kirsten did have a rocky [time] and we were in and out of the hospital.”
He also added,
“We talked about wanting to have kids and Kirsten was told she could try hormone therapy. It was pretty bleak as far as the probability of her being able to get pregnant … but then we got back from a trip to Amsterdam and discovered we were expecting. We calculated that we conceived the baby in [GH star] Tony Geary‘s guest room!”
The former couple did not want to spread the word until the arrival of their baby girl was a sure thing. For that, nobody's judging them.
Depression & Weight Loss In 2017
Kirsten, as we all know, has had a long history of endometriosis, which is why she was frequently taking sick leaves from the show "General Hospital." But it was a shocker when she revealed in 2016 that she was leaving the show again following her skin problems.
The mother of one was then replaced by Molly Burnett, who previously played Melanie in the Days Of Our Lives.

Moreover, she revealed that it was hard for her to work with heavy makeups, which is why she was taking another break from the show.
“I am taking a little break from work due to some skin issues I’ve been having... My doctors say my breakouts are due to stress, but shouldn’t take too long to get under control. I can say that I’m on the better end of it now. However, it was becoming too difficult for GH to cover up. And we all know in this business, appearance is important.”
Kirsten returned to the show after her health issues in 2016. However, she got affected by depression in 2017, which made her take another absence leave from the show, "General Hospital."
Despite the health issues, Kirsten didn't show any significant signs of weight loss and seemed to be managing her role of "Maxie" well.
On 5th February 2018, she connected with her fans about Ryan Paevey's departure, who played the role of Nathan West in the show. She went live on her Facebook through her page to hear and response the fans' queries.
New Boyfriend - Dating Again
Kristen moved on from her failed marriage on to the arms of Elias Paul Reidy.
Like the Days Of Our Lives alum, her beau also belongs to a creative field. He is a singer-songwriter from Toluca Lake, California. Signed by Universal records, he is in the band Love & RocknRoll formerly known as The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Like Kristen, her ex-husband also moved on in life. He found love again in Morgan, a personal trainer based in LA. The pair started going out on 12th May 2018 and shared a strong relationship ever since.
While both the exes moved on with their lives, their number one priority remained their daughter Harper Rose. On 7th January 2019, the friendly exes shared about their lovely daughter’s birthday on their Instagram handle.
Such cool is the relationship between them. Kristen also shares random photos of her ex-husband co-parenting their daughter.
