On 26 March 2019, Malik Beasley was the happiest man alive when he welcomed his first child, with his longtime girlfriend-turned-fiancee', Montana Yao. The bundle of joy was a son named Makai Joseph Beasley.
The couple, who engaged to be married on September 2018, shared the good news of the baby via Instagram. They posted a lovely picture of the baby with all the small details of the child.

Now being first time parents, the two are having sleepless nights and difficulties managing their work schedule. However, according to Malik and his girlfriend, they are embracing the status and coping with it new challenge in hand.

Following a wonderful ACC basketball season, Malik Beasley was drafted as a 19th overall pick for Denver Nuggets in 2016 NBA Draft.
The news saw the young sensation compete amidst the best in the world. Soon the shooting guard signed a four-year contract with the Nuggets worth $7,833,514 along with a base salary of $1,958,379.

Malik Beasley - aged 22- comes from a very artistic family background. His grandfather, John Beasley, is a renowned face in the acting industry- famous for movie Rudy. And, his mother Deena Beasley is an actress known for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Similarly, his brother also joins the line of artists as a musician-who produces new music in Germany.
While most of the family members are involved in the entertainment, Malik and his father Micheal boast athletic career paths.
As a former professional basketball player himself, Malik’s father, Michael Beasley, encouraged the youngster to follow his dream. Intending to succeed in the sport of basketball, the shooter joined St.Francis High School from where his career started to take pace.
After completing high school as a four-star prospect, the rookie joined to play for the Florida State College. There his height of 6 feet 3 inches(1.96m) and weight of 88kgs helped him compete with the big boys.

During his college days, he played 81 games with an average of 11.3 points, with 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists which were amongst some of the best college stats during that time.
