Pregnant Melissa Suffield Expecting First Baby With Soon-To-Be Husband Robert

Melissa Suffield is a familiar name for the fans of British hit soap opera, EastEnders (2004-2010). After all, she was the third actress to portray the prized role of Lucy Beale. Although she was allegedly sacked from the role, she managed to land the 91st rank on the 100 Greatest EastEnders Characters of All Time list. 

Post her departure from EastEnders, she has only worked in two TV series: Casualty (2012) and Little Crackers ( 2010). In recent times, she has come in the spotlight due to her personal life. Keep reading to find out.

Pregnant With First Child 

Melissa is set to become a mother for the first time. 

In September 2019, the actress let the news out that she was expecting a baby with fiance Robert Brendan. Since then, she has been candid about her pregnancy journey; Melissa often shares about her experiences on Instagram. For instance, in December, she revealed that she was suffering from nose bleeding.

Soon, the former child actress will share motherhood tips as her baby is due in March 2020. 

Melissa’s Boyfriend Turned Fiance

Melissa met cruise director Robert Brendan in 2017 during a production of Beauty and the Beast. Then, the pair started dating and the relationship took a serious turn. The couple bought a home together and started living together in 2019. In July of the same year, Melissa and her long-time partner got engaged to be married.

Talking about Robert, he works as a cruise director in the Seabourn Cruise Line. He holds a Master of Arts - Acting Musical Theatre degree from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Melissa’s Time On EastEnders

The actress joined the EastEnders as an 11-year old. Playing the daughter of on-screen parents Ian and stepmom Jane Beale, she made a bang as a child actress. She would go on to play the role for six years before being allegedly fired from the show due to her offset activities. 

Well, Melissa was termed a wild child by the media, she was reported to be engaged in underage drinking and posting inappropriate pictures on Facebook. Further, it was claimed that she was given three warnings to behave appropriately. Eventually, things didn’t work out as she got replaced by actress, Hetti Bywater.

Later, the role which brought immense fame to Mellisa and her successor was killed off in 2015.
