The youngest contestant at the mere age of 18, Michael showed extraordinary skills and talents needed to survive on the island, which turned out to be a threat to the other contestants.

It eventually led to other contestants voting to eliminate Michael from the reality TV show. 

Bio & Family

The Tennessee native Michael Yerger celebrates his birthday on 20 July. He was born to parents: Zarah and Chris Yerger in 1998. He is not the only child as he has a sister named Molly Yerger.

Michael was raised in Knoxville, where he went to Bearden High School. After graduating, he wanted to pursue a career in modeling. Thus, he moved to Los Angeles, California, in pursuit of his dream.

With a height of six feet and one inch (1.86 m), he earned a black belt in taekwondo, jiu-jitsu, and hapkido - which helped Michael to achieve his fantastic physique. But, his achievement is not limited to the black belt. He also earned the rank of Eagle Scout. It is the highest achievement in the Boy Scouts Program of America.

Is Michael Gay?

The reality TV star does not seem to be a gay man. He has a girlfriend named Melissa. Not many details about his girlfriend have popped out on the internet. However, the two seem open about their relationship in both of their Instagram handles.

It is through their Instagram one can tell that the two started dating since 2011. Melissa mentioned it in her post of 1 June 2019. Also, via Melissa’s Instagram handle, it is evident that the two have an intense connection. She posted stories of the couple on trips to Bali and Vegas together. 

The question that keeps the fans on their toes is about their wedding. The two have not made it clear if they plan on getting married. But, the way their relationship goes, it is very likely to happen soon.

Of course, Michael shot himself towards the fame through the TV show, Survivor: Ghost Island. And, through the same TV show, he revealed that he worked as a real estate agent.
