Phil Elverum and his wife Michelle Williams have split after less than one year of marriage. A source close to the couple confirmed the news and said,
Michelle and Phil separated at the beginning of the year. It was an amicable spilt and they remain friends.
The confirmation came after Michelle was seen without her wedding band, twice, in public outings and naturally, divorce rumors about the demise of the relationship started making rounds.

The marriage ceremony was attended by a handful of the couple’s friends along with their children in tow. Phil has a daughter, Agathe from his previous marriage while Michele also has a daughter named Matilda from her last relationship with the deceased actor, Heath Ledger.

The indie musician first married Geneviève Castrée in 2003. A cartoonist by profession, Geneviève was involved in the local music scene in Washington along with her husband. The couple was by each other through and through.
In 2015, a joyous milestone came into Phil’s life when his wife gave birth to their daughter, Agathe. But, the happiness was shortlived when Geneviève was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic carcinoma, just four months after Agathe’s birth.
