Priscilla Chan first met Mark Zuckerberg during a line for the bathroom at their college’s frat party in 2003. From then onwards, the two started seeing each other more often and soon started dating.

However, after their marriage, the couple faced three miscarriages before being blessed with their first baby, a daughter, Maxima Zuckerberg in November 2015. After two years, they gave birth to a second daughter, August Zuckerberg, in August 2017.

Priscilla Chan was born in Braintree, Massachusetts, on 24 February 1985. Her parents fled to Vietnam as an ethnic Chinese refugee in refugee boats but later on settled in America.

Growing up, Priscilla embraced the role of interpreter for her grandparents, who only spoke their native language. That helped her a lot to learn multiple languages and speak each one of them fluently.

Then she started her formal education in Quincy High School, where she was one of the brightest students in her class. After completing school, she joined Harvard University and became the first in her family to go to a University.

There she studied biology and completed her BA in 2007. Similarly, she worked as a science teacher for a year before enrolling in the medical school of the University of California in 2008. 

Now, she works as a professional pediatrician and keeps busy with charity from her organization Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
