Leah McSweeney was born on 27 August 1982 in New York. While in New York, she attended the all-girls Catholic School called the Convent of the Sacred Heart. Unfortunately, she was expelled from the institution at the age of 13.

Her family then moved to Connecticut, where Leah resided until her high school graduation. She then moved back to Manhattan to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology.Â

The newest member of RHONY launched her line of streetwear called Married To The Mob (MTTM) after she had a run-in with the NYPD.Â
When Leah was age 20, she filed a lawsuit against the NYPD because of a physical altercation she got into with the department. The reality star ended up winning the case and was awarded a $75,000 settlement.
She used the said settlement award and started her brand in 2004. By 2018, MTTM clothing was sold by more than a hundred retailers and got together with brands like Nike and Reebok.
The reality TV star’s streetwear was so fashionable that it was featured in several magazines such as Inked, Nylon, Paper, and Vogue, eventually turning into a multi-million dollar fashion line.
