Ron and his wife began their relationship after getting to know each other on the show. After being together for three years, Ron asked Rosemarie to be his wife. 

The couple’s wedding took place on the 2nd of November 2009 in San Francisco.

Their fans were waiting eagerly for the couple to have a baby. But Livingston and his wife announced in May 2013 that they had adopted a baby daughter who had been born the previous month. Then, after two years, the couple again announced in December 2016 that they had adopted another child, a daughter, held the previous year.

Ron Joseph  Livingston was born on the 5th of June 1967 in Cedar Rapids, Marion, Iowa, the United States. Ron has German, Welsh, Scottish, and English ancestry. His parents are Linda Livingston (nee Rinas) and Kurt Livingston. Linda was a Lutheran pastor, and Kurt was an aerospace engineer. Ron has three siblings; Nick, John, and Jennifer. John is also an actor, whereas Jennifer is a TV news personality. 

The actor graduated from Marion High School and then proceeded to attend Yale University. Actors Paul Giamatti and Edward Norton were his friends in college. He graduated with a Bachelor in Arts degree focusing on Theatre Studies and English Literature. The Boardwalk Empire actor stands at the height of 5 feet 10-and-a-half inches or 1.79 meters.
