Celebrity chef Samin Nosrat gained a massive following after the release of her cookbook Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat. The book became a New York Times bestseller and was eventually adopted by Netflix as a documentary series featuring herself as the host.

As a professional chef and food writer, Samin works as a food columnist at The New York Times. She even made a guest appearance in shows such as CBS This Morning: Saturday and Jimmy Kimmel Live alongside actress Diane Keaton.

Bio: Age, Family

40-years-old Samin was born on 7th November 1979 in San Diego, California. Her parents, who moved to the United States in the 1970s, were originally from Iran.

She possesses a Persian ethnicity. Unfortunately, the chef was bullied with racist remarks during her younger years due to her skin color. Growing up in a white community, she was even called “terrorist” once.

However, she grew up learning to look at the positive side of life and personified her Persian roots and values.

Career Plus Net Worth

Samin's mother had an immense influence in connecting her to the world of exotic foods and spices. As a child, Samin would indulge in cooking along with her twin brothers, and it laid the foundation for her cooking skills.

However, she never had any intention to become a cook until she came across food served by Cali based restaurant Chez Panisse. She was studying at the University of California back then and intending to learn cooking, she joined the restaurant by starting as a busser cleaning tables.

Eventually, with a passion for cooking, she learned through professionals like Alice Waters and worked around countries, including Italy.

Finally, taking inspiration from the recipes and her experience as a chef, she released her book, Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat. Her book received well-deserved recognition, including the Food Book of the Year by The Times of London.

As of now, Samin is a well-established chef and has featured a diverse range of cuisines from various country and ethnicity in her Netflix show. Likewise, the celebrity chef is doing financially well as she receives a salary of more than $50,000 solely from sales of her book.

Who Is Samin Nosrat's Partner? Gay?

The California born cook was in a relationship during her college year. Interestingly, it was with the same boyfriend that she first visited her inspirational venue, Chez Panisse after saving some money together.

But, there is a probability that the pair has already broken off; first of all, it was a long time ago, and secondly, Samin has been mum on revealing her dating information out in the public.

Nevertheless, she time and again mentions the words like husband and boyfriend in her social media handle. For instance, in March 2019, she jokingly shared about dying to meet her future husband when one Twitter user expressed the chef and Chris Evans as her dream couple.
