The long-term partners started dating in 2001, and though they didn't get married, they have two children: a son named Levi Hank (born in 2004) and a daughter called Sawyer Jane (2007).

Nevertheless, things didn't work out in their favor, and the pair officially broke up in 2011. The decision of their split was mutual as both Sara and Allison have the custody of their children. 

Moving on from her breakup, Sara started seeing Linda around November 2011 and fell hard for her.

After being in a relationship for over a year, the couple got engaged in April of 2013, shortly after gay marriage was made legal in California. The love birds tied the knot in March 2014 in Malibu, California. The wedding event was an intimate one with close friends and family members involved.
