American singer, Sierra Deaton crossed the borderline of popularity as one half of the indie pop group, Alex & Sierra.

Born to a British father and a Vietnamese mother, the professional dancer has all thanks to dancing for her three international titles in her career. And her singing takes the credit for bestowing her with the love of her life as they both share a similar passion for singing.

She entered into The X Factor with her boyfriend and claimed the title of The X Factor USA 2003, which made their bond stronger. Also, they had planned on getting married, but before reaching their goal, they split their ways.

Split With Boyfriend; Solo Album "Don't Hurt"

Sierra Deaton was dating her X Factor winner partner Alex Kinsey for more than half a decade. They first met on a beach in 2009 and became best friends.

Two years later, the two best friends jumped into the girlfriend-boyfriend relationship; Sierra announced their relationship through Twitter.

In a tweet on 5 September 2011, the mixed ethnicity singer expressed that she was finally dating her best friend after two years. And well, the dating news did not surprise their followers, as they were anticipating their love journey.

And then, they auditioned for The X factor USA in 2013 and faced off against the 15 other contestants and claimed the title.

They said that the competition strengthened and increased their confidence in their relationship. They had also planned about getting married in the future and sharing a husband-wife relationship.

Well, they took up the journey, tasted the success together. But after all those glorious years, their decision broke many fans' and followers' hearts and might also their parents.

The Season 3 champs called off their relationship. They announced their split via social media posts. But in the post, they revealed that their relationship had actually ended about a year ago before the announcement.

The Scarecrow singers' announcement also included their long journey.

"Many of you have been keeping up with us for years; you watched us go from two kids who met on the beach in Florida in 2009 to a couple who won a TV show and released albums and toured the country."

The couple also explained that they had a magical time working together and also requested to respect their privacy in a lengthy note.

Though they were not together, they were connected with music. After their split, the former couple had continued to make music together, but it was difficult for them to work like before. And they felt the emotional and creative strain, which also separated their journey in the musical field.

Well, with their relationship, their friendship also took a full-stop.

After Alex and Sierra's band split along with their relationship, she released her first solo, Don't Hurt, in February 2018 under the stage name Essy, which depicts her feelings, emotions, and grudge of her breakups.

Deaton's New Boyfriend

After the break-up, the American nationality star was spotted hanging out with the 5 Seconds of Summer guitarist and lead vocalist, Luke Hemmings. 

And the couple proudly stepped out in public holding hands, and they looked cute together.

Well, a picture speaks a thousand words; though they have not talked anything about their relationship, they strolled into the New York City hotel together holding hands. Similarly, Sierra also shared the cozy snap with her new boyfriend on Instagram on 16 July 2018.

After the pair went official with their relationship in July 2018, there has been no limit in showing public display of affection for the couple. Sierra and her boyfriend are known to hang out. 

Earlier in December 2018, Sierra, age 29 - who is more than five years older than Luke - was spotted arriving at the Sydney Airport. 5SOS's band member, Michael Clifford, was also present with the duo as he put on a mask to avoid getting attention.

A few days after their arrival, Sierra and Luke were photographed during an outing in Sydney, where the pair both were dressed comfortably in casual outfits.

Post the Twitter incident in late 2018, where Luke's girlfriend had accused him of cheating on her along with the accusations of racism and homophobia; fans were expecting Sierra to dump Luke; however, the couple seems to have emerged out stronger than ever.

Sierra and her partner recently celebrated her 28th birthday on 11 February 2019 as they looked madly in love and enjoying each other's company.

Sierra Deaton Is Bisexual

Yes! You heard it right. Deaton is bisexual. And the interesting fact is that his boyfriend was the one who let everyone know about her sexual preference. 

Hemmings, who is quite private about his life, surprised his fans through an Instagram story on 15 June 2020 when he revealed that his girlfriend is bisexual. 

He announced the proud news by sharing a selfie of the couple celebrating Pride Month in L.A. He tagged his girlfriend in the story and wrote:

"There is still so much work to be done but I wanted to wish everyone a happy pride. Especially to my beautiful bisexual biracial angel"

Sierra Deaton Bio

Deaton is a well-known singer, songwriter, and dancer. She was born on 11 February 1991 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was raised by her father, Dr. John Deaton, and mother, Vu Deaton, in Orlando, Florida. John Deaton possesses British descent, while Vu Deaton claims Vietnamese descent. She has an older sister, Lara Deaton.    

Sierra started dancing at the early age of 2. She had studied hip hop, jazz, ballet, modern, tap, and more. Giving you a taste of her dancing skills, she has won 3 international titles in Irish dancing, competing for eleven years. 

For her education, she went to Lake Howell High School. She then studied advertising and public relation at The University of Central Florida and graduated with honors in 2013.
