Lori Stokes was to be married to Brian Thompson. According to a source, they first met at the job interview for CBC affiliate WBTV, Charlotte two years before their marriage.
The two of them were a great and adorable couple and they even have two beautiful daughters named Nicolette Thompson and Alexandra Thompson. Both the daughters are grown up now and are extremely beautiful.

An Inspirational Father
Lori Stokes' father was also a well-known figure. His name is Louis Stokes who was a democratic person who was also one of the firsts as he was the first African-American congressman from Ohio.
He, in his days as a congressman, helped to direct the federal attention on the nation’s poor and he also led a special House investigation into the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sadly, Louis Stokes died on August 18, 2015, at the age of 90. Lori Stokes said that the cause of his death was lungs and brain cancer.
Knowing about her father leaves no confusion about where she got the inspiration and talents from.

Lori Stokes was born on September 16, 1962, (age 53 years old) in Cleveland, Ohio. In order to receive education, she attended Ohio State University and later enrolled at Howard University. She began her career as a medical reporter for WCIA.
Lori served as a co-anchor of Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness at Noon on WABC-TV in New York City.
For a brief time, though, Stokes was replaced with Sade Baderinwa but later Stokes resumed anchoring when Roz Abrams left the station and was replaced by Baderinwa. However, the journalist ended her 17-year long association with the channel on August 2017 and has since devoted her time as a co-anchor of Good Day New York.
