In the announcement made by the Executive Chairman of 21st Century Fox and Executive Chairman of FOX News Rupert Murdoch said;

 “Bob was missed by many fans of The Five and we’re happy to welcome him back to the show.”

Bob could not contain his happiness to join again and made a statement, where he said;

Subsequently, he reunited with other co-hosts of the show who are Eric Bolling, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Greg Gutfeld and Dana Perino.

 They all welcomed their old friend via twitter posts which read as,

In his first comeback to the show, he gave a message to the President-elect Donald Trump as,

“The one thing I want to say, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart. Donald Trump, congratulations because you, sir, are the gift that keeps on giving for me… I’m going to be here a lot. I’m going to be after you. You know that expression, you can run but you can’t hide. Good luck, Don. I would be happy to sing at your inaugural.”

It was in 2000 that Beckel first joined Fox News as a contributor doing political analysis. Later in 2011 he again joined the network as one of the originating co-hosts of “The Five” until 2015 because back in the middle of  2015, Beckel had to leave  Fox News, in which Bill Shine, who is now a co-president at the network, made a statement,

“We tried to work with Bob for months, but we couldn’t hold The Five hostage to one man’s personal issues. He took tremendous advantage of our generosity, empathy and goodwill and we simply came to the end of the road with him.”

For a while after leaving Fox News, he joined as a commentator in, CNN  and in Beckel’s absence, his position was filled by Juan Williams who now will continue to appear across the network, including occasional visits to The Five.

The Five which began to be on air since 2011, was successful to gather a lot of audience since its inception, claiming to be in number one position in cable news.
