John, who shares no mutual desire to be in the entertainment industry like her famous girlfriend, made his first public appearance with his actress girlfriend on 9 November 2018 as they attend the Dear Evan Hansen musical performance at Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.
Their first public appearance came after six months of their dating and they tried their best to avoid being photographed as they exited to vehicles.
