Alexandra Mary Hedison is the first child of David Hedison and Bridget Hedison. The actress was born on the 10th of July 1969. Because of her parents' roots, the actress is of Armenian and Italian descent. She grew up with her younger sister Serena Hedison in Los Angeles, California. 

On 22 February 2016, Alexandra lost her mother - who died at the age of 71. A few years later on 18 July 2019, Alexandra lost her father at the family's home in Los Angeles. David lived up to the age of 92.
