Dana Bash married Jeremy Bash, managing director at Beacon Global Strategies LLC, on September 6, 1998. The marriage was held at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington. The common thing was their Jewish belief. Jeremy's father was a conservative rabbi meantime Dana mother was Orthodox Jews.

Like Dana, husband John was also previously married to Jean Makie. He has two grown-up children Noah King and Hannah King from his previous marriage. Dana and John got blessed with a baby boy named Jonah King in 2011. King shared an E-mail to his friends of CNN after the birth of his son.

“We are ecstatic to announce the birth of Jonah Frank King. Our amazing son is named for two of our heroes; my mom, Joan King, and Dana’s grandfather, Frank Weinman. Unlike either of his parents, Jonah beat his deadline. By two weeks no less. But he is a healthy, happy six pounds 14 ounces with a strong grip and a passion for the Red Sox. Dana is doing great. Unfortunately, the marriage life of Dana could not get prolonged, and she separated from John King in 2012. The couple spent about four years together. The suspicion of their divorce started after John King was spotted flirting with a lady on CNN. Dana and John may have deviated in personal life; they are still working together. 

Although the divorce was inevitable, Dana is still a caring mother and an influential figure to her son. Jonah, who is eight years old, is a charmer and the apple of Dana's eyes.

She is CNN’s chief political correspondent who covers the activities of U.S House and Senate. She was a member of the team that won the Peabody Award for the coverage of 2008’s presidential election. She also won Dirksen Award from the National Press Foundation in 2010 for the coverage of congressional earmarks and Senatorial “hold.”
