However, he joined high school again at the age of 19, after not getting breakthrough via the band. Later, he also attended Ryerson University in Toronto and graduated in 1982. After graduation, he shifted to Los Angeles to try out his luck in acting and then began his glory days.

Later, on 26 June 1999, the couple had another wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara, California to compensate their first low-key wedding. On their second wedding, their daughter Stephanie was the flower-girl.

David and Nanci are parents to two kids. Their daughter Stephanie was born on 15 March 1993, while the pair's son Wyatt is a 16-year-old teenager.

Despite his glorified career and huge fan base, David is fairly reserved and laid-back. He is an actual family guy and very loyal to his wife. Moreover, he has completed 27 years of maritial bliss with his wife, and the two are still going strong.

David’s career started right after his graduation as he auditioned for the world-renowned Stratford Shakespearean Festival in Stratford, Ontario. There, he was selected as a member for two years. 

Later, as he moved to Los Angeles, he got his first break in the 1986 film, Police Academy 3: Back in Training. After that, he went on to star in many other TV shows and movies, namely The Campbells, Street Legal, Close to Home, The Guard, Scoundrels, and Knots Landing.

He has also appeared as a guest-star in the hit show, Seinfeld.

However, he gained massive recognition for portraying the lead character; Harmon "Harm" Rabb on the TV series JAG from 1995 to 2005. He won the TV Guide Award for Favorite Actor in a Drama for the series.
