The couple had been dating since 2011, which was revealed by Josh's girlfriend, Emily at the FOX All-Star Party during the 2018 Winter TCA Tour. Since then, the couple had shown continuous affection for each other over the years of their dating period. The duo was frequently spotted together in public whether be it on the beach or a casual coffee walk.

After a couple of years of dating, Josh’s girlfriend, Emily Vancamp opened about the relationship a bit more explicitly. She opened up about how she never talks about Josh in any of her interview. She said in an interview with Elle Canada on 4 March 2014,

“Josh and I keep it all very separate. I barely talk about him in interviews, to be honest. It’s just really funny in the moments when we’re playing these absolutely absurd things. Joshua Bowman got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Emily Vancamp in 2017. The actor proposed to Emily in the forest during a hike which Emily revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight saying, 

“It was in a forest. We were in nature on a hike kind of doing what we do, it was very, sort of, us. So yeah, it was great, beautiful.”

Josh's girlfriend-turned-fiance, Emily posted an Instagram image on 12 May 2017 where she displayed her diamond ring on her left hand. Later while walking the carpet at the Upfronts, Josh's fiance debuted her engagement ring.

When asked when the engaged couple will get married, Josh's fiance replied, 

"We haven't had any time. We've been working in different countries. We're just taking our time with it."

Emily was also asked whether 2018 is the date for the couple to get married to which she said, "Maybe." The couple, who is together for seven years got married on reel life in the season 3 of ABC series, Revenge.

Over a year after announcing their engagement, Joshua and his girlfriend-turned-fiancee got married in the Bahamas on 15th December 2018.

Following the wedding, Emily took to Instagram to share the joyous occasion with her followers by sharing a snap of the newlyweds. She captioned the photo by writing,

"12.15.18 ❤️"

Moments later, Emily uploaded another image from their wedding but this time around, she thanked her family and friends who had partook at the wedding ceremony. She wrote:-

"Thank you to all of our friends and family who made their way to celebrate with us! We are eternally grateful."

On the day of their wedding, Joshua had opted for a conventional tuxedo while his bride donned an open-sleeved Lela Rose wedding gown. Additionally, Charlie Daily was the event's designated photographer.
