It was even speculated that Anton’s chances of lifting the show’s Glitterball Trophy were the strongest even after his pairing with Emma.
However, Anton is limited to female dance partners. The ballroom dancer revealed in November 2019 that he would be “very happy” to be paired with a male dance partner. The comment came amidst BBC’s plans to introduce same-sex couples in the show from 2020.
