Troy Aikman, a name synonymous to American Football, is still making waves even after retiring from the sports 18 years ago with profound stats to his name. Case in point: the former Dallas Cowboy quarterback created quite a stir when he slammed NFL outfit The Green Bay Packers for firing Mike McCarthy.

When he isn't preoccupied with his obligations as an on-air pundit, the California native, age 52, goes home to his girlfriend-cum-wife Capa Aikman and daughters from his previous marriage.

And with Troy and "the love of his life" celebrating their wedding anniversay not that long ago, he couldn't be happier with his married life on the second go around.

At age 50, Tory became a married man for the second time when he tied the knot with "the love of his life."

The former NFL star and his then-girlfriend of more than one and a half years, Capa Aikman exchanged "I do's" on 2nd September 2017 in Santa Barbara, California. Following the wedding, Troy took to Instagram to share the big news.

His second wife, Capa posted the same photo as above with the caption:-

“What an honor to document this amazing couple surrounded by their family and friends ❤️.”

Per The Dallas Morning News Troy, and Capa exchanged wedding vows in an intimate ceremony on the beach and then attended the reception at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara.

The news of the lovebirds tying the knot had come three months after Troy announced the engagement via Instagram. Sharing the image of the two, he wrote:-

“June 2, 2017 – A special day as I proposed to the love of my life.”

To those unfamiliar with Troy's second wife: Capa is a fashion retailer. Her bio reveals that she's a founding member of a mobile boutique Luxeliner alongside Charlotte Anderson, the daughter of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Like him, Troy's present wife also shares two children - both sons - with her former spouse.

Besides fathering his step-kids, the three-time Super Bowl champion is also a regular fixture in his teenage daughters' lives.

Troy - who stands 6 foot & 3 inches in height - along with his ex-wife Rhonda Worthey share the joint custody of their two daughters, who were born in 2001 and 2002 respectively. The one-time married duo had tied the knot in Texas, a year after welcoming their first daughter.

Rhonda - who dated Troy for a year and a half before marrying him - is a former Dallas Cowboy publicist. And after ten years as a married couple, they decided to part ways in 2011. In a statement released following their divorce announcement, the then-estranged flames quipped:-

“This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after 10 years of marriage, we have decided to separate. We remain deeply committed to our children and respectfully ask that you honor our family’s privacy during this period of adjustment.”

According to numerous media outlet, the MVP of Super Bowl XXVII paid his first wife $1.75 million as a divorce settlement. Less than a year after the finalization of the divorce, she made headlines for getting arrested for public intoxication.
